Asking If A Room Is Available
At a hotel, one of the most useful questions is:
Haben Sie ein Zimmer frei?
Do you have a room available?
You can also ask for a specific kind of room:
Haben Sie ein Einzelzimmer frei?
Do you have a single room available?
Haben Sie ein Doppelzimmer frei?
Do you have a double room available?
This is a practical hotel phrase. You do not need a long sentence. A short, clear question works well.
Asking for a Room
You already know ich möchte. In a hotel, you can use it like this:
Ich möchte ein Zimmer.
I would like a room.
Ich möchte ein Einzelzimmer.
I would like a single room.
Ich möchte ein Doppelzimmer.
I would like a double room.
You can make the sentence more complete by adding the number of nights:
Ich möchte ein Einzelzimmer für eine Nacht.
I would like a single room for one night.
Ich möchte ein Doppelzimmer für zwei Nächte.
I would like a double room for two nights.
Saying How Many Nights
German uses für when you say how long you want the room.

Hotel information often looks short and direct.
Example:
Einzelzimmer: 70 Euro pro Nacht
Single room: 70 euros per night
Doppelzimmer: 95 Euro pro Nacht
Double room: 95 euros per night
Mit Frühstück: 10 Euro extra
With breakfast: 10 euros extra
